KNEA Board of Directors 

Blake West, President

Blake is a mathematics teacher and technology coordinator on leave from the Blue Valley School District.  He is a resident of Overland Park, KS.

Sherri Yourdon, Vice President

Sherri is a counselor at Reno Valley Middle School in the Nickerson School District.  She is a resident of Hutchinson, KS.

Karen Godfrey, Secretary/Treasurer

Karen Godfrey is French/English teacher at Logan Junior High School in the Seaman School District.  She is a resident of Topeka, KS.

Bruce Goeden, Executive Director

Bruce is the Chief Executive Officer of the Association and is ultimately responsible for managing all staff and overseeing the implementation of programs for the Association.

Claudette Johns, Associate Executive Director

Claudette Johns is second in command for managing the affairs of the Association.  Her primary responsibility is for implementation of the UniServ Program - a system to deliver services to members through 17 regional divisions in the state.

The KNEA Board is comprised of representatives from each of the 17 service areas of the state, and representatives for the following groups:  KNEA Retired, the KNEA Student Program, higher education, educational support professionals, and ethnic minority members.
