Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) Professional Development Resources for KNEA members only

KNEA is pleased to announce a new professional development opportunity for NEA members. Through a collaborative arrangement with the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), NEA members can now participate in CEC professional development sessions  offerings at the CEC member discount price.

Autism, tips for beginning special educators, response to intervention (RTI) and mentoring special education teachers will be offered via web seminars starting on April 22, 2008 through September 25, 2008.

Web seminars bring together current information from experts and busy professionals in convenient interactive 90 minute sessions, and require only a speakerphone, a computer and high-speed internet connection. Administrators can cost-effectively arrange for as many individuals as they would like to participate for one low price ($189 for non-members and $149 for CEC members). Attendees can earn .15 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for participating in the 1 hour and 45 minute training session.
