Get a jumpstart on National Board Certification!


Are you thinking of applying for National Board Certification or have you recently registered and need assistance in getting started? Join trained National Board Certified Teachers and Trainers in a valuable workshop that will prepare you for the process and even assist you in completing some of the portfolios.

During a two-day workshop, you will learn details about the National Board Certification process and how to organize your resources and time to be most efficient. The trainers will offer their own ideas and insights and be able to answer your questions. You will leave the sessions with a personalized plan.

Information in this workshop will include:

• Reviewing the National Board Process
• Documenting your accomplishments;
• Collecting student work samples;
• Planning and conducting your video tape;
• Group dynamics and video taping;
• Strategies for “packing the box”; and
• Planning for the Assessment Center

Where: UMKC PDC at Union Station, suite 401
30 West Pershing Rd. Kansas City, MO 64108

When: Wed., July 9 and Thurs. July 10, 2008

Registration: 8:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. (coffee and pastries)

Workshop: 9:00 a.m. –4:00 p.m.

Cost: No charge to KNEA and MNEA members

$50.00 for non-members (includes lunch and materials)

KNEA and MNEA members who register but do not attend or cancel at least 7 days prior to the workshop will be invoiced after the workshop.
