Review: Written from three Lakota Indian boys' point of view about their encounter with the Lewis and Clark expedition. Sun, Antler, and Cloud observe the explorers and experience the anxiety of their chief and his anger with the explorers. His tribe controls the trade along the Missouri River and has limited the trade with other tribes. The conflict was just the beginning of many confrontations and the boys begin to understand the men were angry because the Native Americans were in their way.
